All Things Are Under Our Feet

“And God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:22-23 (BSB)

When God raised Jesus from the dead, He didn’t simply restore Him — He enthroned Him. Ephesians 1:22 declares that everything was placed under His feet. Not some things. Not spiritual things only. All things — every power, every strategy of darkness, every name that can be named, every circumstance that tries to rise against you — were placed beneath the feet of Christ. But the verse doesn’t stop there. It adds a phrase that changes everything: “for the church.”

Christ’s dominion is not isolated from you; it is shared with you. His authority is your authority. His victory is your victory. His position is your position. If all things are under His feet, and you are His body, then all things are under your feet as well. The feet are not in the head — they are in the body. That means the believer’s authority is not symbolic; it is positional. You are not trying to get above the enemy. You were placed above him the moment you were placed in Christ.

This Truth breaks the lie that you are at the mercy of circumstances or spiritual pressure. The enemy wants you to believe he is stronger, closer, or higher than he actually is. He wants you to feel outmatched, overwhelmed, or outnumbered. But God declares the opposite. You are not beneath what Christ has conquered. You are not subject to what Christ has defeated. You are not vulnerable to what Christ has placed under His feet. Your authority is not based on your performance — it is based on your position.

This also shapes how you respond to daily challenges. When fear rises, you answer from above it. When pressure comes, you stand from your seat of victory. When lies whisper, you speak from dominion. You are not fighting to win; you are enforcing the win Jesus already secured. You resist with confidence because you know where you stand. You speak with clarity because you know what is beneath you. You live with assurance because Christ’s position, defines your position.

And here is the deeper Truth: the more you see yourself in Christ, the more naturally you walk in authority. Dominion becomes your instinct when your identity in Him, becomes your foundation. You stop reacting to the enemy and start ruling over him. You stop living beneath your calling and start living from your seated position.

Today, let this Truth settle deeply in your heart: all things are under His feet — and because you are in Him, they are under yours as well.

Father, thank You for placing me in Christ. Help me walk in the authority that flows from His victory.
