“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His stripes you are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 (BSB)
Healing is not something God is deciding about today. Healing is something Jesus settled two thousand years ago. 1 Peter 2:24 does not point you to a future miracle—it points you to a finished work. “By His stripes you are healed” is not a promise waiting for fulfillment. It is a declaration of what already belongs to you. Healing is not a reward for spiritual maturity. Healing is not a response to desperate prayer. Healing is part of redemption—purchased, secured, and delivered through the stripes Jesus bore on His back. The Cross did not only deal with sin; it dealt with sickness and disease. Your redemption includes healing.
To say “you are healed” means the work is complete. The price has been paid. The legal transaction is finished. Jesus bore your sickness the same way He bore your sin—fully, completely, and once for all. You are not trying to get God to heal you. You are learning to receive what Christ already provided. Symptoms may speak loudly, but they do not rewrite the Cross. Feelings may fluctuate, but they do not change the finished work. Healing is not based on what you feel—it is based on what Jesus accomplished.
This Truth breaks the lie that healing is uncertain, unpredictable, or dependent on God’s mood. God is not deciding whether to heal you. He decided at the Cross. Jesus took stripes so you could take healing. He carried sickness so you could carry health. He bore pain so you could walk free. The enemy works hard to convince believers that healing is still pending, still undecided, still in process. But Scripture is clear: you are healed. Past and present tense. Finished reality. Eternal Truth.
Living this way produces confidence and rest. You stop begging God to heal you and start declaring your healing and thanking Him for what Jesus already did. You stop waiting for healing to arrive and start enforcing what already belongs to you. You stop letting symptoms define your identity and start letting redemption define your reality. Healing is not something you chase—it is something you receive as your inheritance in Christ. You speak differently. You pray differently. You think differently. You stand differently. Because you know the work is finished.
Today is about embracing the Truth that healing is not something you are trying to get—it is something Jesus already gave. You are not the sick trying to be healed. You are the healed resisting the lies of the enemy.
Confession: By His stripes I was healed. Healing is mine now because Jesus already paid for it.
Prayer: Father, thank You that healing is a finished work. Help me receive and enforce what Jesus has already provided.
Closing Charge: Walk today as one already healed—because the Cross settled it forever.
