Consider Not: Opposition

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you…” Isaiah 54:17 (BSB)

Opposition is inevitable—but defeat is not. Isaiah 54:17 does not promise the absence of opposition—it promises the failure of it. Weapons may form, voices may rise, pressure may come, but none of it can succeed against the one God has established. Opposition is real, but it is not decisive. God declares the end from the beginning: the weapon cannot prosper, and the accusation cannot stand. Faith thinking begins here—refusing to measure your future by the threats that come against you.

To “consider not the opposition” means you stop letting resistance intimidate you or shape your expectation. You stop interpreting pressure as defeat. You stop assuming that the enemy’s attempts have authority. Opposition may appear strong, but it is powerless against God’s covenant. The enemy can form the weapon, but he cannot control the outcome. He can raise the accusation, but he cannot write the verdict. Faith thinking chooses God’s decree over the enemy’s threats, God’s promise over the enemy’s pressure, God’s Truth over the enemy’s noise.

This Truth breaks the lie that opposition is a sign of weakness or vulnerability. Many believers panic when resistance shows up. They assume something is wrong. They assume God is distant. They assume the attack is stronger than the promise. But Scripture teaches the opposite: opposition is proof that you are advancing. The enemy resists what threatens him. He opposes what God is moving forward. But no matter how loud the opposition becomes, it cannot override God’s Word. The weapon may form, but it cannot prosper. The accusation may rise, but it cannot prevail.

Living this way produces boldness and stability. You stop being shaken by spiritual pressure because you know God has already declared the outcome. You stop being intimidated by resistance because you know Heaven backs you. You stop letting the enemy’s noise distract you from your assignment. When you consider not the opposition, you begin to walk with the confidence of someone protected, defended, and upheld by God Himself. You live steady, secure, and unshakable.

Today is about embracing the Truth that opposition does not define you—God’s protection does. Weapons may form, but they cannot prosper. Resistance may rise, but it cannot prevail. You are covered by covenant, surrounded by angels, and backed by the God who never loses.

Confession: I consider not the opposition. No weapon formed against me can prosper. God is my defender, and I am fully protected.
