“But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.’” Matthew 15:26 (BSB)
Jesus called healing the children’s bread. That one phrase reveals everything you need to know about God’s will for your health. Bread is not a luxury. Bread is not a rare treat. Bread is not reserved for special occasions. Bread is daily, normal, expected nourishment. When Jesus called healing “bread,” He was declaring that healing is the normal provision of the Father for His children. It belongs to the family. It is part of the covenant. It is not something you earn—it is something you receive because you belong to Him. Healing is not a miracle you chase. Healing is the bread you eat.
To call healing “the children’s bread” means it is your covenant right. It is not something God gives reluctantly. It is not something you must qualify for. It is not something you must convince Him to release. Bread is given freely, consistently, and generously to the children at the table. And you are seated at that table. You are not an outsider hoping for crumbs. You are a child of God with full access to the Father’s provision. Healing is not a question mark. Healing is your portion!
This Truth breaks the lie that healing is uncertain, unpredictable, or dependent on spiritual performance. Many believers approach healing as if it is a rare event—something God might do if the conditions are perfect. But Jesus dismantles that thinking. Healing is bread. Bread is daily. Bread is normal. Bread is expected. Bread is provided because of relationship, not effort. The enemy wants you to see yourself as someone on the outside looking in. But Jesus places you at the table and calls healing your bread.
Living this way produces confidence and rest. You stop begging God to heal you and start receiving what already belongs to you. You stop wondering if healing is God’s will and start thanking Him that healing is your covenant right. You stop approaching sickness as something you must endure and start treating it as something that has no legal right to stay. Bread is not earned—it is served. Healing is not achieved—it is received.
Today is about embracing the Truth that healing is not a distant hope—it is your daily bread. You are not trying to get God to give you something He is withholding. You are receiving what has already been provided for you, in Christ.
Confession: Healing is my covenant bread. As a child of God, I receive healing now!
Prayer: Father, thank You that healing is my daily bread. Help me receive it with confidence and walk in the fullness of what Jesus provided.
Closing Charge: Take your seat at the table—healing is the children’s bread, and it belongs to you.
