“They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well.” Mark 16:18 (BSB)

Jesus did not suggest that believers might see results when they lay hands on the sick—He guarantees they will recover. Mark 16:18 is not a metaphor, a ministry option, or a spiritual bonus. It is a covenant assignment backed by divine authority. When you lay hands on the sick, you are acting as a vessel of the same power that flowed through Jesus’ ministry. Healing is not something you generate; it is something you release. The Spirit within you moves through your hands, and recovery begins the moment contact is made. You are not hoping for healing—you are activating it.

To lay hands on the sick means you step into your role as a believer, not as a spectator. You are not waiting for a special calling or a unique anointing. Jesus already authorized you. He already empowered you. He already commissioned you. Your hands are instruments of healing because His Spirit—Christ the Healer lives in you. When you touch the sick, you are connecting their need to God’s supply. You are releasing the Life of Christ into their body. You are enforcing the victory of the Cross. Recovery is not your responsibility—it is His.

This Truth breaks the lie that healing ministry is reserved for pastors, evangelists, or “gifted” individuals. Jesus said believers lay hands on the sick. That means you. The enemy wants you to feel unqualified so you will stay silent and inactive. But God wants you confident, bold, and available. Healing flows through obedience, not perfection. When you lay hands on the sick, you are stepping into the normal Christian life—the life Jesus modeled and empowered His Church to continue.

Living this way produces boldness and compassion. You stop wondering if God will use you and start expecting Him to. You stop hesitating and start acting. You stop waiting for the perfect moment and start responding to the opportunities God places in front of you. When you lay hands on the sick, you are not performing—you are partnering with the Holy Spirit. Recovery may be immediate or progressive, but the promise is certain: they will recover. Heaven backs your obedience.

Today is about embracing the Truth that healing ministry is not optional—it is part of your identity as a believer. Your hands carry the Life of God. Your touch releases His power. Your obedience activates recovery.

Confession: When I lay hands on the sick, they recover. God’s healing power flows through me to bring restoration.

Prayer: Father, thank You for empowering me to lay hands on the sick. Use my hands as vessels of Your healing and let recovery follow everywhere I obey.

Closing Charge: Lay hands on the sick with confidence—Heaven backs your touch.
