“Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed,

will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.” Psalm 126:5–6 (BSB)

Sowing is not always easy. Sometimes you sow when it feels costly. Sometimes you sow when circumstances are tight. Sometimes you sow when emotions are heavy. Psalm 126:5–6 acknowledges this reality—there are moments when sowing feels like sowing in tears. But the psalm does not end with tears. It ends with joy. It ends with harvest. It ends with arms full of abundance. God’s promise is clear: when you sow in faith, you will reap in joy. Tears do not cancel harvest. Faith guarantees it.

To sow in faith means you release your seed with trust, not fear. You give because you believe God is faithful. You plant because you believe harvest is certain. You obey because you believe God multiplies what you release. Faith‑sowing is not emotional—it is intentional. It is choosing to trust God’s Word above your feelings, your circumstances, and your calculations. When you sow in faith, you are not losing—you are investing. You are not diminishing—you are positioning. You are not letting go—you are planting for a future harvest.

This Truth breaks the lie that difficult seasons diminish the power of your seed. Many believers hesitate to sow when life feels heavy, assuming their seed “won’t matter” or “won’t work.” But Scripture declares the opposite: seed sown in tears still produces joy. In fact, some of the most powerful seeds you will ever sow are the ones sown in faith when everything in you wants to hold back. The enemy wants you to believe your seed is too small, too late, or too insignificant. But God says your seed—any seed, every seed—will return with joy.

Living this way produces hope and expectation. You stop letting emotions dictate your obedience. You stop letting circumstances determine your generosity. You stop letting fear silence your faith. When you believe you will reap in joy, you sow with confidence. You sow with vision. You sow with anticipation. You recognize that every act of faith is a step toward a joyful harvest. God does not forget your seed. He does not overlook your obedience. He does not ignore your faith. He multiplies it.

Today is about embracing the Truth that your sowing is never wasted. Whether you sow in strength or in tears, you will reap with joy. Harvest is guaranteed.

Confession: I sow in faith, and I reap in joy. My seed is never wasted—God brings a joyful harvest from every seed I plant.

Prayer: Father, I thank You that every seed I sow rests in Your faithfulness and moves toward the harvest. I trust Your timing and Your goodness, and I welcome the joy that follows every act of faith.

Closing Charge: Sow with expectation today—every seed planted in faith returns with joy.
