“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19 (BSB)

Authority is not something you feel — it is something you use. Jesus did not tell the disciples to pray for authority, wait for authority, or hope authority would show up in a crisis. He said, “I have given you authority.” Past tense. Settled reality. Divine authority is not a future promise; it is a present position. You stand in the same authority Jesus delegated to His disciples — authority over all the power of the enemy, including every symptom that tries to attach itself to your body.

To take authority over symptoms means you refuse to let your body speak louder than the Word. Symptoms may appear, but they do not have the right to remain. Authority is the believer’s right to enforce what Jesus already accomplished. You do not negotiate with sickness. You do not tolerate it. You do not wait for it to leave. You command it to go. Authority speaks directly, boldly, and without apology. When you use the authority Jesus gave you, Heaven backs your words with the same power that raised Him from the dead.

This Truth dismantles the lie that symptoms are signs of defeat or indicators of God’s will. Symptoms are trespassers. They are illegal attempts of the enemy to occupy territory that belongs to God. The enemy wants you passive, silent, and intimidated. But Jesus wants you active, vocal, and confident. Authority unused is authority surrendered. Authority exercised is authority enforced. When you speak to symptoms in Jesus’ Name, you are not making suggestions — you are issuing commands backed by the God.

Living this way produces clarity and strength. You stop reacting emotionally and start responding spiritually. You stop asking, “Why is this happening?” and start declaring, “This cannot stay.” You stop waiting for symptoms to change before you speak and start speaking because symptoms must change. Authority shifts your posture. It shifts your language. It shifts your expectation. You stand firm because you know Jesus has already given you the right to tread on every work of the enemy.

Today is about embracing the Truth that you are not powerless, vulnerable, or at the mercy of symptoms. You carry divine authority — and nothing has the right to harm you.

Confession: I take authority over every symptom in my body. Nothing has power over me except the Word of God.

Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me authority through Jesus. Help me use it boldly and enforce the victory He secured for me.

Closing Charge: Stand in your authority today—every symptom must bow to the name of Jesus.
