“You have observed correctly,” said the LORD, “for I am watching over My word to accomplish it.” Jeremiah 1:12 (BSB)
God is not watching over your emotions, your opinions, or your observations. He is watching over His Word. Jeremiah 1:12 reveals a powerful truth: God performs what He has spoken, and He performs what you speak when your mouth agrees with His mouth. Heaven responds to the Word, not to worry. Heaven moves at the sound of Scripture, not the sound of fear. When the Word is in your mouth, you are releasing something God Himself is committed to fulfill.
God told Jeremiah that He is actively watching—alert, attentive, and ready—to bring His Word to pass. This means the moment His Word is spoken, Heaven begins to move. The Word carries its own assignment, its own power, and its own fulfillment. When you speak the Word, you are not trying to convince God to act; you are releasing what He has already decided to perform. Your confession becomes the point of agreement where Heaven enters the situation.
The enemy works tirelessly to keep the Word out of your mouth because he knows what happens when you speak it. He knows that once the Word is released, he loses influence, loses ground, and loses the ability to shape your perspective. He cannot stop God’s Word, so he tries to stop your agreement with it. He pressures you to speak fear, frustration, or doubt. But when you choose to speak the Word, you override his strategy and activate God’s.
This Truth breaks the lie that your words are powerless or insignificant. Your words matter because God has chosen to work through them. He watches over His Word, not your feelings. He performs His Word, not your assumptions. When you speak the Word, you are giving God something to perform. You are releasing Heaven’s agenda into the earth. You are aligning your mouth with the very thing God is watching over.
Living this way produces confidence and expectation. You stop wondering if God will move and start expecting Him to perform what He has said. You stop speaking from pressure and start speaking from partnership. You declare healing because God watches over His healing Word. You declare peace because He performs His peace‑giving Word. You declare victory because He fulfills His victory‑establishing Word. Your mouth becomes a channel through which Heaven flows.
Today is about embracing the Truth that the Word in your mouth releases Heaven. Speak what God has said and expect Him to perform it.
Confession:
God watches over His Word to perform it. I speak His Word with confidence, knowing Heaven moves when I agree with Him.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for watching over Your Word. Help me fill my mouth with Truth so I can release what You are ready to perform.
Closing Charge:
Release Heaven today—speak the Word. God is watching over to perform.
