You Are Far Above All Power of the Enemy

“Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” Ephesians 1:21 (BSB)

When God raised Jesus from the dead, He didn’t simply lift Him out of the grave—He exalted Him to the highest place of authority in the universe. Ephesians 1:21 declares that Jesus is seated far above all rule, all authority, all power, and all dominion. Not slightly above. Not marginally above. Not barely above. Far above—infinitely, immeasurably, unquestionably above every force of darkness. And because you are in Christ, seated with Him, you share in that exalted position. Your authority is not parallel to the enemy. It is not close to the enemy. It is far above the enemy. You are not in a tug‑of‑war with darkness. You are seated in a place where darkness has no legal reach.

To be far above means the enemy cannot operate on your level unless you come down to his. He cannot overpower you, outrank you, or intimidate you unless you surrender the authority Christ has given you. Fear of the enemy comes from forgetting your position. Confidence comes from remembering it. You are not fighting upward; you are enforcing downward. You are not trying to climb into victory; you are speaking from victory. You are not trying to rise above the enemy; you were raised above him the moment you were placed in Christ.

This Truth breaks the lie that the enemy is strong, close, or capable of overrunning your life. His power is broken. His authority is stripped. His reach is limited. His influence is only effective when a believer forgets where they sit. The enemy thrives on deception—trying to convince you that he is bigger, louder, or more present than he actually is. But the Word reveals the reality: he is beneath Christ, and because you are in Christ, he is beneath you. You are not vulnerable to his attacks; you are positioned above them. You are not subject to his schemes; you are authorized to dismantle them.

Living this way produces boldness and peace. You stop responding to the enemy with fear and start responding with authority. You stop magnifying his activity and start magnifying your position. You speak with assurance because you know where you sit. You resist with confidence because you know where he stands. You walk with assurance because Christ’s exaltation defines your dominion.

Today is about embracing the Truth that you are far above all the power of the enemy. Your position is secure, your authority is real, and your victory is settled.

I am in Christ, seated far above all the power of the enemy. Fear has no place in me.

Father, thank You for seating me in Christ above all darkness. Help me walk in the assurance of my position.
