“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” 1 Corinthians 6:19 (BSB)

One of the most astonishing Truths in Scripture is that God chose to make His home in you. Not near you. Not around you. In you. The Holy Spirit does not visit you occasionally or rest upon you temporarily. He dwells in you permanently. You are God’s temple—His chosen dwelling place, His sacred residence, the place He has set apart for His presence and His glory.

In the Old Testament, the temple was the most holy place on earth. It was where God’s presence rested, where His glory was revealed, and where His people came to encounter Him. But through Christ, God did something unimaginable: He moved the Temple from a building to a believer. He placed His Spirit within you, not as a symbolic gesture but as a living reality. You carry the Presence of God everywhere you go. You are the place where Heaven touches earth.

This Truth changes everything about how you see yourself. You are not ordinary. You are not empty. You are not spiritually distant or disconnected. You are filled with the Spirit of God—the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, the same Spirit who hovered over the waters at creation, the same Spirit who empowered the early church. His presence in you is not fragile or conditional. It is the seal of your identity and the source of your strength.

Yet many believers live unaware of this reality. They pray as if God is far away. They worship as if they must reach up to Heaven. They face challenges as if they are spiritually alone. But the Word declares something far greater: the Holy Spirit is in you. He guides you, strengthens you, comforts you, convicts you, empowers you, and reveals Christ to you. You are not trying to get closer to God—He has made His home in you.

Today is about awareness and honor. It’s about recognizing the sacredness of your life because of the One who dwells within you. It’s about letting the Truth of His presence shape your decisions, your confidence, and your sense of worth. You are God’s temple—not by effort, but by grace. Let this Truth settle deeply: you carry the presence of God, and nothing about your life is ordinary.

Confession:

I am God’s temple. His Spirit lives in me, fills me, and empowers me. I carry His presence everywhere I go.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for dwelling in me. Make me more aware of Your presence today and help me honor You in everything I do.

Closing Charge:

Walk today with reverence and confidence—you are God’s temple, and His presence goes with you.
