“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 2:6 (BSB)
Your authority does not come from effort. It comes from seating. Paul reveals a truth that reshapes how you see yourself and how you respond to life: when God raised Jesus from the dead, He raised you with Him. And when Jesus was seated at the Father’s right hand — the place of ultimate authority — you were seated there too. This is not symbolic language. It is spiritual reality. Your position in Christ is the foundation of your authority.
Being seated with Christ means you share in His victory, His dominion, and His access to the Father. You are not trying to climb into authority; you were placed into His authority. You are not trying to rise above the enemy; you were raised above him. You are not trying to earn a position; you were given one. Authority is not something you work for — it is something you receive because of where God has placed you.
This Truth breaks the lie that you must struggle, strive, or qualify to walk in authority. Many believers live as though they are still beneath, still fighting to get God’s attention, still trying to earn spiritual ground. But Ephesians 2:6 reveals that God has already positioned you where Christ is. You are not praying up to Heaven; you are declaring Truth from your Heaven’s seat with authority. You are not fighting for victory; you are enforcing Christ’ victory. You are not trying to overcome darkness; you are speaking from the place where darkness is already under Christ’s feet—and therefore under yours.
Living this way produces confidence and clarity. You stop approaching life as someone trying to survive and start approaching it as someone who reigns with Christ. You stop reacting to the enemy’s pressure and start enforcing the boundaries of your position. You speak with authority because you are seated in authority. You speak with boldness because you are seated in boldness. You stand firm because your seat is secure.
Today is about embracing your God‑given position. You are seated with Christ. Your authority flows from your position, not your performance. Live from your seated position, in Christ — everything changes when you know where you sit.
Confession:
I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. My authority comes from my position in Christ, not my performance.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for raising me with Christ and seating me with Him. Help me live, speak, and act from this position of authority.
Closing Charge:
Live from your seat of authority today—everything changes when you know where you sit.
