“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go…’” Matthew 28:18–19 (BSB)

When Jesus declared that all authority in Heaven and on earth had been given to Him, He was not making a theological statement—He was issuing a legal transfer. The moment He said, “Therefore go,” He delegated His authority to the believer. Jesus did not send you out in your strength, your name, or your qualifications. He sent you in His authority. Delegated authority is not lesser authority; it carries the same weight as the One who gives it. When a police officer raises a hand to stop traffic, it is not their physical strength that halts the cars—it is the authority of the government backing them. In the same way, when you speak, command, or act in Jesus’ Name, Heaven backs you with the full weight of Christ’s authority.

Sharing in Christ’s authority means you are authorized to act on His behalf. You are not a spiritual beggar hoping God will intervene; you are His representative enforcing what He has already accomplished. Jesus did not say, “All authority is Mine, so stand back and watch.” He said, “All authority is Mine, so go.” His authority becomes your assignment. His victory becomes your responsibility. His Name becomes your legal right to speak, command, and enforce Heaven’s will on the earth.

This Truth breaks the lie that authority belongs only to “special” believers or spiritual elites. Authority is not earned through maturity, gifting, or personality. It is inherited through union with Christ. If you are in Christ, you share in His authority. You do not grow into authority—you grow in the awareness of the authority you already have. The enemy’s greatest tactic is to convince believers that they are powerless, unqualified, or unworthy to act in Jesus’ Name. But the Word reveals the opposite: you are authorized because Jesus authorized you.

Living this way produces boldness and clarity. You stop praying as though you are trying to convince God to move and start declaring the Truth as someone commissioned to enforce what God has already spoken. You speak to situations with confidence because you know you carry Christ’s authority. You resist the enemy with assurance because you know he must obey the authority of Jesus’ Name. You walk with purpose because you know you are sent, empowered, and backed by Heaven.

Today is about embracing the Truth that you share in Christ’s authority. You are not acting alone. You are acting in His Name, with His backing, and from His victory.

Confession:

I share in Christ’s authority. I am authorized to act in His Name and enforce His victory.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for delegating Christ’s authority to me. Help me to go boldly into this world in the victory that Jesus has entrusted to me.

Closing Charge:

Go today in the authority of Jesus—He has authorized you, in His Name.
